New museum catalogue published in April
Simultanously with the opening of Aboriginal art today! our new museum catalogue will be released. The richly illustrated book entitled Contemporary Aboriginal Art, Dutch collections at AAMU provides an extensive overview of Aboriginal art, based on Dutch collections only, from 1970 until now. It is written by Georges Petitjean, AAMU's curator. It will shed light on art from different regions and art centres as well as individual artists. Also political, historicial and social-economical perspectives are described that had a great influence on the development of Aboriginal art and the way it spread.
Contemporary Aboriginal art, Dutch collections at AAMU will be published in collaboration with Snoeck Publishers in Dutch and English. ISBN 978-90-5349-788-3 (€ 34)
