Aboriginal art collection of Groninger Museum
Until 11 April a selection of paintings from the Aboriginal art collection of the Groninger Museum will be on display on the 2nd floor. AAMU has had this collection on permanent loan for some time now. The artworks were acquired in the 90s by the director at the time, mr Frans Haks (who passed away in 2006) for the exhibition "Australia Now! - contemporary Aboriginal art" and are mostly works from desert art centres in central Australia.
